On My Own

Please help us to get this story out. . Your contributions will be greatly appreciated.

Little Harriet Productions presents On My Own, a documentary that bravely tackles one of Black America's most critical issues, saving the black family.

Raw, emotional, uninhibited and honest, this film gives voice to fatherless children and struggling mothers who suffer from a grave social issue that has long been ignored.

Statistics show that 70% percent of black babies in the United States are born out of wedlock each year (Source: U.S. Census Bureau, 2000).

On My Own gives viewers an inside look at the lives of single mothers who are raising their families alone, and at the disturbing trend of missing fathers, which threatens the future of the black family.

The purpose of this film is not only to address the problem, but also to explore possible solutions.

Testimonials

"This is a film I would love to see made! Rachel is telling this story from the inside, from a perspective we rarely see. Please give her your support!"

Lewis Erskine
Film Editor, Freedom Riders

"Rachel Miller-Bradshaw is a force to be reckoned with! When it comes to social issues, Rachel thinks outside the box and her powerful documentary bears witness to that. Her film is not the same old baby momma drama mumbo jumbo - Miller asks tough questions and gets fascinating answers. If you want to understand the epidemic of unwed mothers - and the father's who leave them - this is Must-See TV."
